INTRODUCTION
The method of dyeing with Montedel dyes is constituted essentially by 4 cycles: 1 – Preparation This kind of dyeing is particularly indicated to get effects Old, Used, Vintage, etc. on garments without the need to use pigments or dispersed dyes. |

The "used" look of the garments is very similar to those obtained with the pigments, but one get various advantages :
Moreover, it is possible to take advantage of the different resistance of the Montedel dyes toward oxidizing agents, as Sodium Hypochlorite, to get fashionable and very interesting bi-color effects.
The products involved in the treatment are the following :
1 – Monten IB-1 + Sodium Carbonate (Preparation)The resistance of Montedel dyes to oxidizing agents can be very different from one color to another. That may represent a good opportunity to create creative effects based on two colors. For example, it is possible to dye a garment sequentially with two dyes, or more conveniently with both the colors in the same bath. In this case, one color will be chosen among those that have a weak resistance to oxidizers (most of blue dyes), while the other should be very resistant to the same oxidizing agent (most of reds).
The successive treatment with our "Bleach Tabs" on the moist garment, will reveal the resistant color on the surface, while the depth of the fabric will preserve the sum of both colors. In the example of a blend blu-red, the fabric will exhibit an interesting pattern red-brown to red-black.
In the pictures that follow are shown the results of fabrics that were treated with solutions of Potassium Permanganate at different concentratins. Please notice as many blu tones degrade very easily, while most of the reds are little or no sensitive to the same oxidizer.
